1 oz. has an ORAC value of 27,692.  1 serving is ¾ oz.
(ORAC is the scale to measure antioxidant levels.  It combines various data and determines exactly which foods are best for you in terms of antioxidant content.)
Maqui berry from the Amazon rainforest has the highest antioxidant value of any known fruit (to date the acai berry was the highest known at 25,000, but the maqui berry has a rating of 75,000, making it the highest rated antioxidant food in the world today.
Supports healthy aging, neutralizes free radicals protecting cells from oxidative stress.
Supports a healthy immune system, healthy anti-inflammatory function, cardiovascular health and is an excellent source of Vitamin C, iron, and potassium.   It’s organic and naturally pure.
It is also known as the Patagonia Super fruit.  Patagonia, where the Maqui Berry is found is one of the cleanest places on earth.  It’s been a staple in the diet of the Mapuche Indians, who consistently have one of the longest life spans of any ethnic or world group alive today.  They view it as a symbol of health and strength, having healing powers.  It increased their warmth in the winter and gave them strength and stamina during their hunting season.
It’s great for a weight loss food as proven in a study at University of TX in Austin, and is quite possibly the greatest weight loss and wellness secret EVER!  The study consisted of 500 test subjects so the results would be more accurate.  (250 men and 250 women) who all said they’d like to lose between 10 and 40 lbs.
Over a 6 mo. Period, the subjects were split into 3 different groups.  One group was given 2 doses of Maqui berry a day. One group was given 2 doses of Acai Berry, and the final group was put on a strict diet and exercise program that was monitored by personal trainers and dieticians.
At the 6-month mark the results were astounding.  Those given the Acai Berry and the strict regimen had lost weight and felt much better.  However, those given Maqui Berry had lost almost 400% of the weight that the other 2 groups had lost, and almost all was pure fat.  They had softer skin and healthier nails and hair.  80% claimed that energy levels were through the roof, and they had a better sense of well being.
Applicants were brought back 6 months later for a follow up and 92% of those that had the Maqui Berry had managed to keep all the weight off; 46% of the other 2 groups kept all the weight off.
It will increase energy levels, improve digestion and help with weight management.
Acai Berry contains one of the highest concentrations of antioxidants, omega fatty acids, and other good fats and fiber of any food.  These nutrients have shown a reduction in the risk of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, and other diseases.  The high concentration of antioxidants are thought to help prevent Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, neurodegenerative diseases, rheumatoid arthritis, etc.  The high concentrations of fiber and beta-sitosterol help lower blood cholesterol and glucose levels, which can help prevent diabetes.  Oleic acid, and omega 9 fatty acid, and the chef component of olive oil, helps reduce blood pressure.  Acai Berry has high concentrations of these nutrients to help combat many diseases.
It has shown to increase Energy and Stamina.  It’s legendary among athletes for it’s ability to boost energy and increase stamina.  If world class athletes can use acai to boost energy and stamina in competition, it can certainly help you with your training or exercise regimen.  The more energy you have the more calories you can burn in your workout.
The right combination of nutrients eaten at regular intervals will help keep energy levels high.  The high concentration of carbs, proteins and healthy fats in acai help to fuel activity while the high concentration of fiber helps to regulate blood sugar levels and keep energy levels higher for longer.
In Summary, Acai Berry:
Lowers blood cholesterol, reduces blood pressure, reduces oxidative stress, lowers glucose levels, reduces oxidative stress, boosts the immune system, repair damaged blood vessel walls, improve vision, improve wound healing, resist aging effects, prevent or relieve constipation, prevent dry hair/hair loss.
Brazilian Acai berry showed to destroy cancer cells in a recent University of Fla. Study, one of the first to investigate the fruit’s benefits.  Also, published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, the study showed extracts from the Acai berries triggered a self-destruct response in up to 86% of leukemia cells tested.
Due to increased energy and stamina, acai is considered by many to increase libido.  The abundance of good fats helps metabolize cholesterol and produce testosterone and estrogen.  In fact, natives commonly refer to the Acai Berry as “Amazon Rainforest Viagra”.
Bilberry- a close relative of the blueberry and cranberry.  It’s a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant; it’s popular for treatment of diarrhea, inflammation, and variety of eye disorders, including poor night vision, eyestrain, and myopia.  Also used to treat eye problems such as Macular Degeneration, diabetic neuropathy, and/or prevention of cataracts.
Bilberry fruit and its extracts contain a number of biologically active components, including a class of compounds called anthocyanosides.  These have been the focus of recent research in Europe.  Use of standardized extract of bilberry is popular in Europe for treatment of chronic veinous insufficiency, which may include leg swelling, varicose veins, leg pain, and itching, and skin ulcers.
Bilberry has been used traditionally in the treatment of diabetes and diarrhea.  It may also be useful in the treatment of retinopathy in patients with diabetes or high blood pressure.
Black chokeberry- a member of the rose family, related to Cherries, Pears, Hawthorns, Plums, and Roses.    The plant grows well in moist, well-drained, acidic soils.  It does well in wet clay soils and can tolerate a dry summer.  It can rapidly establish itself and in the fall the foliage and black fruit put on a worthy display.  Chokeberries are known for their outstanding fall foliage colors, having yellow, orange, bright red, and deep scarlet hues.
They are high in vitamins, edible and a good source of Vitamin C.  It’s commonly used for juice, jams, jellies and syrups.  Because it’s such a rich source of a diverse array of antioxidants, it’s being investigated for its potential to prevent and treat a variety of chronic diseases, including colon cancer.
Mangosteen- a tropical fruit from Asia, and the national fruit of Thailand.  rich in antioxidants and recommended for use in preventive maintenance for the body.  It is listed in Chinese medical accounts dating back to the Ming Dynasty (1368 A.D.) Claimed by some to be the best tasting fruit in the world, and said to have been Queen Victoria’s favorite fruit.  In scientific circles it’s called Garcinia mangostana and comes from the same family as St. John’s Wort.
Mangosteen extract inhibits histamine release.  Studies back these claims:
Neutralize free radicals, support a healthy cardiovascular system, support cartilage and joint function, strengthens immune system, promote healthy seasonal respiratory system, helps to maintain intestinal health.
Goji Berry- from china contains 21 trace minerals, high in B complex to support nerve function.  Is a mood enhancer and helps all 5 senses.  These Chinese berries are bright red, with a taste similar to raisins.  They have been used as a general nutrient tonic for centuries, and as a food staple for thousands of years in Asian cultures.
When analyzed under a microscope, the fruit reveals itself to be a powerhouse of photochemical (most notably polysaccharides), well known for having health-promoting effects.
It contains 19 amino acids, including 8 that are essential for life, 21 trace minerals, B Complex, C and E Vitamins as well as many antioxidants, anti-fungal and anti-bacterial compounds, essential fatty acids and the list goes on!
Chinese researchers have published their studies in peer reviewed journals on the use of the Goji’s photochemical, which have been known to heal or prevent chronic fatigue, cholesterol oxidation, provide support to the immune system and also defend the body from free-radical attack, hypertension-induced damage to kidney cells, and periodontal disease.
It contains zeaxanthin for eye health, which is 10x more effective than beta carotene.
There is a huge connection between liver health and skin health.  Goji berry’s liver protecting benefits alone provide strong evidence that Masaji is a wonderful way to clear skin through nutrition.  But there’s more…
Carotenoid: Vitamins for healthy Skin- Goji is rich in carotenoids that can protect against basal and squamous skin cancers and reduce the risk of melanoma.  Zeaxanthin and lutein act like sun block to protect the skin from the sun’s harmful UVA and UVB radiation, the same way they protect eyes.   Dietary lutein reduces inflammation in skin exposed to UVB sunlight radiation, which is very harmful to cellular structure and can cause both basal and squamous cell cancers.
Goji berries are higher in Vitamin A than Carrots; they are the highest known natural food source of Vitamin A, making them a wonderful food for skin rejuvenation.  They also contain a wide range of healthy fatty acids that the skin craves.  Gamma linoleic acid has anti-inflammatory properties.
Goji berry is plentiful in polysaccharides—so called “miracle sugars” that can reduce levels of collagen and protein destroying enzymes that promote cancer.  They also   can protect the skin from an increase in rancid fats that dermatologists associate with the collagen destroying enzyme that’s responsible for much of the skin damage referred to as “photo aging”
Marine Phytoplankton- collectively known as micro algae.  Has the ability to transform sunlight, raw inorganic minerals, and carbon dioxide into a Super food for Living Things.  It’s a complete whole food source for the body.  Supporting proper metabolic function, it may enhance the immune system and antioxidant protection from cancers and degenerative diseases.
Helps balance the pH of the body, has anti-inflammatory effects on membranes and relieves joint pain.
Helps control blood pressure.  Cleans toxins from cells and organs, supports weight loss, increases energy and vitality.
Helps with skin care such as acne, psoriasis, and dermatitis.
Provides neurological support and healthy liver support.
May improve vision-more effective than Lutein
May help stabilize blood sugar levels.
